Oncy's unhealthy hatred, SPORTS edition.

I was thinking today, just how many sports figures I hate*, and how many are in American sports, that I really don't care as much about as the stuff at home...

Like Philip Rivers. I despise* that overrated, lippy wanker.

And Brett Farve. Lying, insincere, traiterous, money-grubbing twat.

And Alex Rodriguez. And Johnny Damon. And Joba Chamberlain (think Wayne Rooney, only fatter and more annoying).

And Landon Donovan. And Terrel Owens. And the entire New York Jets organization.

And the majority of Dallas fans, who know NOTHING about "their" teams, especially the Stars fans, and are sooooooo knee jerk that they make this place after Saturday's loss feel like a bastion of sanity and level-headedness.

I know that I'm leaving out many, many others (Patrick Creighton), but if I get really started, I'll never stop (John Gruden).

How 'bout youse?

Off the top of my head, I find myself hating Allen Iverson and Lewis Hamilton. Cunts.

a) So do I have to say fuck you because I'm a Dallas sports fan?
b) It's Crayton.

I used to hate 49ers fans - but they're calmed down now after the Montana/Young years. Now it's the Steelers and Giants fan.

I can't stand Eli Manning - he had one fluke run in the playoffs and he's the new messiah, eclipsing his brother (who's a far far better player. Oh, and Brandon Jacobs that piece of shit.

I could never stand Gretzky - Mario was a better player and didn't get as much credit.

In MLB, I don't hate anyone but I just lost a lot of respect for the game after McGwire and Sosa. These steroid taking twats, although doing so 'legally', corrupted a seemingly clean game.

Ah the NBA - I used to hate John Starks and Patrick Ewing. They could never deliver in money time for their time ... 2-18 eh Johnny boy? and I have little 'love' for the Celtics.

Phillip Rivers, Brett Farve, Tom Brady, Terrell Owens, Ocho, Vick, Buress.
Why?

and I don't hate Ocho or Owens for some reason, I just pity 'em ... head cases.

Burress is an idiot, as is Vick. "Here boys, lots of money and you can set yourselves and your family up for life - just don't screw it up."

Tell me about it Rico - he takes shots at us all the time ... Those bloody Raiduh fans!

new York yankees, particularly a-rod and Damon

Dallas cowboys, particularly emmitt smith. Barry should come back now just to knock him of his perch.

Don't mind gretzky as such, but Lemieux is my sporting hero.

I don't consider either of you among those I highlighted above, chaps...

Though Avy's "We're the team to beat" going into this season did make me scratch my head. 🙂

It's the "How many Super Bowls have YOU won" brigade, as if that means that they're not actually struggling to beat a pathetic team last Sunday, and that they HAVE in fact won a playoff game in the past 12 years. Similarly, the Stars fan who, as the Bruins are f#$!ing PASTING them last week tries to tell me that they're better, despite the fact that we've won several straight against them now, and that last season we were top seed in the East going into the playoffs, and they didn't even MAKE the playoffs.

Those types...

Spoken like a true Aggie... 😉

He's no Manning, but he's a bloody good player. Probably should have won the Heisman last year...

How's life?

Can't complain, how are you?

On McCoy, we must not watch the same games, he is miles behind Bradford. His completion percentage is so high because all his passes are less than 5 yards. He has been very average this season, and thats being nice. I can't stand him.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I said we'd go 10-6 or 9-7 at best, and most likely 8-8 ... I was just hoping for a playoff game to be honest. We're very inconsistent but we can play with the best teams (Broncos and Giants), we just haven't figured out how to beat 'em yet.

And the Chiefs! ;D

You may have backed off it, but you did make the claim that you were the team to beat in the NFC, my friend, and you know it...

I've said for quite a while now, you have lots of talent, particularly at QB, RB and TE, but you defense is only average and you have NO leadership, especially from your "head coach".

I said that 18 months ago after the 13-3 season.

We're very inconsistent. We can play with the best, and then lose to the worst. It's frustrating to say the least, but at least it can give me hope that if we can get on a 'run', we'll be fine.

I don't think our defense is average. And I think they'll show that in the coming weeks - Our D played FAR better against the Broncos than the Pats AND Chargers D did, two teams who are better than them.

From the main NFL thread, on September 8th:
I like the Cowboys team - I don't know if we'll break the run without a playoff win but I like the team for a few reasons

a) the defense is stacked - i think it could be amongst the league's best. Watch out for Spears, Scandrick and Spencer ... All 3 should have big big years.
b) I think Romo will have his best year - not stats wise (not even close) - but I just feel he's about to 'grow up' as a QB.
c) The 3 RBs will really be a factor (Barber, Felix Jones - Mr. Home Run & choice)
d) the Special Teams will improve.

All in all, I hope for a 10-6 season, though I think 8-8 or 9-7 is more likely.

I think you've forced ONE turnover all season. That tells me all I need to know. That's bottom 5 or 6 stuff, mate.

You can't use the "well, Denver only beat us by X" to define a defense. KC scored more on you lot than anybody else this season too...

Anyways, I agree that they CAN get there. I just don't think they're built to actually do it, as long as that puppet is "in charge".

Oh, and fair enough about the dates of that comment - Mea Culpa.

Why don't you like Lebron Ryan?

Rafael Nadal.

I'm sick of his one massive arm and one fliddy arm, smacking everything as ridiculously hard as humanly possible, bury my heart at bandaged knee, stringy Sol-Glo hair annoyingness.

Colt "Over rated gutless coward" McCoy

Jordan "Chokes whenever he plays against a half decent defense" Shipley

I hate both of these clowns with all my being.

Did not really have another thread to vet my frustration is in.

Yeah, I'm at work right now.

I had to drive in listening on the radio to how great those 2 ass clowns are. I can not wait until Florida/Alabama put them both in the hospital.

Hope ya'll had a good Thanksgiving. Ours was good, only a few of us at the folks house.
