Look at it from the players' point of view. They will be shitting themselves in each one of those fixtures because Rodgers has drained the confidence out of them.
Dalglish talked our squad up from day one to the day he was fired. When we faced the top clubs, he'd be saying well they'd need to worry about us just as much as we need to worry about them. He expected a win in every game. That rubs off on the players and makes them feel like they are far better than they actually are.
In contrast, Rodger's has been a little too honest. Calling Carroll are useless cunt. Telling Downing he is a fucking disgrace and not working hard enough. Telling Joe Cole he's a fucking waste of money. And generally telling our entire squad that they don't have the correct profile, and that they need help from new signings before they are capable of playing football. You can't argue with any of that, but for the fucking love of god nothing good will come of drumming that sad depressing truth into the minds of our players day after day at every opportunity. They all think they are shit now. Well done.

Everyone of those team we have struggled against in the past. I'm worried......
And what does he say of Suarez and Sterling? Who have arguably been our two only real performers. He calls a cunt a cunt, I can't see the problem with that. And cole, downing and Carroll are
7-9 points from all that. Have no confidence that we can beat them, they will be up for it because as far as they are concerned and the general public - when they play us they are not playing a top team anymore - we are nearer relegation material if you read the PL table. The opposition have nothing to fear lads.
Its amazing ain't it ? - how over 24+ years winning the league or rather challenging for it goes out of the clubs vocab to be replaced by 'progress and 5 year plans' - then that 'progress and 5 year plans' does not mean actually challenging for the title anymore but means 'getting a top 4 finish' to qualify for the CL. But don't worry - I heard on the radio that Platini is thinking of making the CL larger for shit dross like us to still qualify - to the point of giving the chance of CL qualification to the top 7 teams in each of the main leagues in Europe. But wait... that would mean setting our standards even lower - so we can aim for 7th in the league.
