How on earth have so many of our players managed to go off form all at the same time?

Shelvey, been shit for 2 months.
Allen, not been right for a couple of months.
Suarez, gone on a drought.
Gerrard, not looked right for most of the season.
Sterling, hasn't produced anything for weeks.

Most of these players have been brilliant at parts this season, but all of a sudden, they've all gone off.
We don't seem to be playing any differently, they're not really getting played out of position.

What's changed?
 
They all know that everything is totally hopeless and pointless, because the world is going to end before Xmas.

If we could drop all of them I'd be ok with that
 
Maybe the manager is doing something wrong, I don't know, but the players can't seem to do the basics, i.e concentrate. How that's down to the boss I'm not sure. Something's weird for them to have all gone off at the same time. Suarez was poking them in for fun before, now he looks lost with the ball.

The captain is undroppable, not in my opinion, it's just the way it is, managers never do it. So if they go off form you have to grit your teeth.

We have got to get a couple of players in to compete for spots in the starting 11, in the final 3rd, in January, this is getting beyond a joke. They know regardless of how they play, they're starting the next game, that can't be any good for them.

What a pity he doesn't style himself as a great motivator with brilliant man-management skills. Oh, hang on...

I dont care if he's the captain, he's a Fucking awful captain and he's a Fucking awful player at the moment.

I'd sooner start Henderson

Heard it said that Gerrard is not the sort of captain to stir up his team, but one to lead by example. Its a rubbish example at the moment, therefore making him a rubbish captain, and leading partially to rubbish team performances. Needs to change. He can still bring on the big performances for the big games - which annoys me even more, as he's obviously not giving his best effort in other games.
 
He does need dropping, we all know it, but we can forget about, it's never going to happen. More chance of Reina playing upfront. He'll only 'rest' him for the odd game, not drop him for a few as he's been shit.

He's not on his own though is he, as I said up top, loads of them are off form, and as they can't really be dropped, I can't see how they're going to recover it, they'll have to play through it. Lets just hope it doesn't through the whole season.

I'm all for having a shot like, about 6yards out, 1 on 1 with the keeper, and hitting it hard intot he bottom corner. Not having a couple of floaters every game from 40yards, doing a poor mans impersonation of Riise with them never going in. It wastes attacks.
BUT, if he behaved like a defender, stayed defending, and kept his head down, I'd tend to agree with you, he's probably the most likely captain in the squad.
