Mourinho used statistics to say "records" had been broken in three consecutive matches, despite saying such figures meant "very little" to him as recently as Friday.

"We run and we run and we work more than ever and at certain intensity that we never did before," added Mourinho, who says he is working individually with his strikers.

"Our levels of ball possession are much higher than before too. Our chances are higher than ever.

"Our number of goals is lower than ever. You have the numbers, you read the numbers, you get some conclusions.

"For me they mean something. It means it's everybody's responsibility."

He tried the refs, the media, scapegoating other players, siege mentality, and now going into transfer season he wants a new striker, and is exposing the one he has?

It's everyone [else's] responsibility.

It's quite some turnaround, the media here have always lauded him & his stupid fucking antics, & part of the justification for his shite has been that he's successfully taking the pressure off his team.

Now the team is in the worst form they've been in for years & he's refusing to take the blame at all.

All of this stat analysis is fine and dandy, but as ever they don't give you the full picture. The problem for Mourinho and Chelsea is simply that too many of their key players are either injured or not playing well. Matic, Costa, Fabregas, Hazard, Terry and Courtois were excellent last season, and have been far less effective in goals scored and chances created this season, as well as the obvious defensive frailties.

That's the real issue for Mourinho, coupled with a summer of frankly terrible transfer activity, in which he didn't get the defender he wanted, and instead ended up with a reserve keeper, a left back he didn't want, and that crock Falcao.

If you don't recruit well, and your key players get injured and/or perform poorly, you're always going to struggle, no matter how far you run.

I'm happy that he hasn't got sacked yet. Many players want him gone IMO and as long as he stays then they will continue to struggle. They want the idiot gone.

Hopefully he will buy Sturridge. The best striker (goal v minutes played) in the PL...
