Liverpool's owners are considering whether to sack manager Roy Hodgson but no decision has yet been taken, BBC Sport understands.
Liverpool are 12th in the Premier League table following Wednesday's 3-1 loss at Blackburn - their ninth defeat in 20 top-flight games this season.
With over half the campaign gone, the 18-times league champions are currently four points above the relegation zone.
The club are not expected to make an announcement on Thursday.
Hodgson left Fulham to replace Spaniard Rafael Benitez at Anfield in July but has struggled to win over the Liverpool fans as his side have laboured in mid-table.
A 1-0 home defeat by Wolves on 29 December piled the pressure on Hodgson before Saturday's last-gasp 2-1 win over Bolton looked to have earned him some breathing space.

NESV are BELIEVED to MAYBE sack Hodgson but NO DECISIONS yet.

There is no quote, no sure report no absolutly nothing else than the same speculations on what might happen if he dont win games. We really need someone who can speak up and give a decision. Either they back him or they sack him. Its not as they are to attack Iraqi and need false evidence. The results are for everyone to see.

I'm sick and tired of writing rumour has it or yada yada another site, but a couple of other sites are saying that there will be a statement at 3 pm. Apperantly the Hodge is in a meeting now with Ayre and Nash.

I fucking despise all this ITK nonsene tbh. Get him sacked so that we can discuss football again.

The Tadgster? I saw him at the pub yesterday. We asked him what was going on but he was too busy trying to work out the percentage of games he'd been to since 1985.

We've been down this road before when Big-T had only been to 375 games, now hes been to 376, im thinking THIS could be it.
