I really can't think of anyone. Let Rafa do it part time? Give it to Eddie Howe and guarantee him a long period to build a decent team?

When Harry Redknapp was up for the job he was going to get Rodgers as coach. Sounds great now compared to that pile of shite. For all his flaws, Arry is a pretty sensible manager in those circumstances, and think of Rodgers working with the squad. If they'd gone out, it would have been with a bit of brio, at least,

You need Lars Lagerbäck but I doubt that he would take the job.

I think that they will offer the job to Moyes.

Exactly. You want managers in that scenario who can coax the best out of players, Redknapp would have been the motivation and at least we would have had some attacking game plan, which is what you need in tournaments. Too often we've gone into these things on the back of a decent qualifying record and suffocated because we just don't know how to plan for or react to knockout competition.

The English press will proceed in this manner:

1. A fortnight of handwringing and angry debate.

2. Followed by 'the Premier League is the greatest in the world, every one envies us!'

3. What was the question again?
