We've been sluggish for the most part, and haven't deserved anything. Newcastle haven't been anything either, but just happened to score an excellent goal.
The game is there for our taking it, but we're doing fuck all.
It still amazes me why Gerrard isn't the one playing at the tip of the midfield three. Sahin looks lost there, and Gerrard is his rubbish as per usual in the deeper position - dawdling on the ball, harrying, playing the unnecessary forward ball, and giving it away cheaply.
It isn't rocket science - Gerrard's made his name as a dynamic attacking midfielder, and Sahin as a central midfield playmaker. Play them there for fuck's sake.

A lot of overreaction here, but truth be told, we were horrible. After first 20 minutes we slowed down and just stopped playing as a team. Allen made more bad passes than good ones, I've never seen him play so bad. Time for a real good blocking in the dressing room. Good thing there are no cameras around this time.
I dont think we were horrible at all, we were playing against a team who basically parked the bus and didnt create enough but our passing was pretty damn sexy at times.... bit of luck going our way and lets see if we turn it around.

On a more serious note, that incident between Suarez + Coloccini in the box where Suarez does get caught but Coloccini also gets the ball ... What's the call there?
This thing about games being there for the taking... we aren't very good at taking.
If I'm Rodgers, I take Allen off and replace him with Shelvey. Allen has been poor yet again.
Playing well means forcing their goalie to work for his money. He has not been tested at all.... we need to stop rolling the ball around and set the pace of this game. Even I could defend against this show. Make the ball move faster and let them run in between....
