There's been photos of it all over the interweb for months.

It's vile.

I'll try to find one when I get a minute.

That checkerboard pattern that fades into stripes is ludicrous, the collar is neither an old fashioned collar nor a new style v collar, but some aberration in between that doesn't work, the sleeve piping is half heartedly plonked on part way round, the badge looks too big, & worst of all, it's got a fucking NEW BALANCE logo on it.

May as well be made by fucking Kappa.

Might be a regional thing (i.e. differs on fashion where you live) but to me NB is much less chavvy than say Umbro and obviously not even close to Slazenger (ruined by Sports Direct), Ellesse etc. I just dont see it as one of those scumbag brands.

It all makes sense though. NB HQ is here in Boston - no more than a few miles from Fenway Park. It used to be a decent brand but it hardly has the same cache as Nike or Adidas as a globally recognized sporting brand. They are more of a niche running shoe manufacturer - like Asics - than a football powerhouse. Might as well be running on to the field carrying a starbucks latte grande while we're at it. (Or should I say Dunkin Donuts latte - that other New England staple).

First of all, yes I do.
Second, I buy them not to wear, but to collect. I have every home and away shirt for the last 20 odd years or so. It's a way in which I feel that I can support the club financially, even though I live 3,000+ miles away from Anfield.
Third, the implication of your question is that men are somehow infantilized by their desire to own a football shirt. So fuck you dogboy, you mature cunt.
