Keita's defensive performances this season : he's averaging 3.1 tackles per match, 2.3 interceptions and 0.6 clearances.

He's also has an 82.2% passing success rate.

Attacking performance : has scored 5 goals and has 1 assist and 5 MOTM performances in his 21 appearances.

He's also in Who Scored's team of the BL season so far. Outstanding figures in anyone's book.

RBL have slipped right off the pace in the BL and are out of the CL. I wonder if there's any chance whatsoever of bringing him over in January. Pay them £10m compensation, he'll be worth it to ensure we secure Top 4 (not sure if he could still play in the CL for us).

They've ruled out letting him go in January. They want CL footy secured next season

Would be nice, but I see even the journo adds the qualifier "if Rangnick accepts", so I'm not holding my breath on this one.

That's true to a degree, but as I understand it his form has improved again more recently. I'm not too concerned anyway TBH - the reason for his initial drop in form is most likely that he just wants to get the move over and done with, a bit like van Dijk over at Southampton.

Compare this half season to last years half season and has his form dropped. Look like it
Oh FFS that's bollocks. He still makes the BL team of season (so far) has 5 goals to date and he has average tackles and interceptions per game that any defender would be proud of .. never mind a B2B midfielder.

If was merely a question to those that watch him regularly. The starts don't look comparable. Tbf, he has his move, so the motivation can go.

I see Danny Murphy in his wonderful wisdom has compared him to be more a Jordan Henderson type player rather than having the power and creativity required to replace Coutinho

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Mascherano is many things but a creative player he is not.

Murphy has clearly lost his marbles. I didn't read after that

Keita & Henderson both have the same number of legs, arms & just one head each.

I'm getting stuck on similarities after that though.
