My Fecking Back.

Since my 20th Birthday (just under 2 years ago) i've had serious back pain. I had it slightly before then but it really kicked off on my 20th birthday. I was barely able to move for 2 weeks, most horrid pain you can imagine. It's still hurting to this day but not to quite the same degree. Now it'll ache some days, some days i'll just be able to feel it, as in i can feel it's limiting my movement but it's not really hurting.

I want to sort it out, i want to be more flexible and be able to move freely again, because at the moment i can't lift heavy objects very often, not because i lack the upper body strength, but because my back cannot take the stress, and my flexibility? I can't touch my toes, christ i can only just get past my knees, i'm fed up of this. I've tried some exercises, mainly the ones where you lay on your stomach and lift your arms and legs upwards, but they don't seem to help, infact in some cases it's made things worse.

What should i do? I'd say i'd go to a chiropractor but i'm a student with no money. Should i go to the doctors? I feel strange going there and not actually being ill though.
