He’s been present in games where we’ve conceded more goals and far more chances. He had to mop up and clear time and time again.

What faults are people attributing to him? Konate had a better game did he? Who was it Beto snuck on the blindside for the first goal? Who was easily brushed aside in the air in the build up to the 2nd? Give us a break. Virg only needs to play at 50% to be better than most the dross on the pitch.

He looked like he was running in treacle, or his wasn’t dominant as we expect or when he got absolutely rinsed late in the game at 2-1. He’s our captain and didn’t get our team to calm it down. He didn’t lead last night.

I do like the way you try to divert the question on to Konate who I didn’t mention. I won’t comment on the Beto one. I will do on the brush. No matter how strong you are any nudge whilst midair makes you fall.
