Routine win. Good minutes in lots of legs. I cheered loudest for Danns goal.

Kelleher
Alexander-Arnold (Bradley 60’)
Quansah
Endo (Nyoni 78’)
Taimikas
Morton (McConnell 60’)
Szoboszlai (Chiesa 45’)
Elliott
Nunez
Jota
Ngumoha (Danns 72’)

I don't think i had anyone above a 7

Probably

Rio
 Trent
Chiesa

But you could make a case for any of them today without really thinking they played great.

Pretty obvious to me.

Endo - impeccable performance in an unfamiliar position
Jota - lively and acted as our playmaker today
Trent - Well taken goal.

Endo
Rio
Quansah

Kostas unlucky to miss out, Fede would've been in with a shout too had he played longer than a half.

Endo
Trent
Chiesa- only played the second but almost everything he did was quality.

Rio had a few lively moments in the first half but end product was lacking. Really lively and promising but no more than that.

BTW, I'd like to know what Danns' goal per minute ratio is playing for the senior team. Lad just has the instincts and generated his own goal through great work to nick the ball and release Chiesa with a perfectly weighted pass. If he had played more than 20 odd mins he'd be in the reckoning for top 3, easy.

I am sorry I still saw things that I hated about Trent's performance. He still thinks its okay to jog and turn his back to the ball.

That'll never change. It's just whether his offence game can supersede his defensive disasterclass. The pass before the pass for Jota's goal was nice and the strike alone probably overshadowed anything he did poorly/half heartedly but yes his "efforts" like letting the kid come inside and hit the bar is typecast Trent.

I'm telling ya, there's something special about Danns. He's got that money can't buy poacher's instinct. Once he gets the ball, his only instinct is to run towards goal. And he's only 18.

Plus he celebrates like a star already.

On the other hand, can't believe our 64M striker failed to score against Accrington in 90 mins.

He used to at least hit the goalposts, these days he can't even hit the barn door with a beach ball !

Trent
Endo
Jota

No-one particularly stood out and no-one was particularly shit…

3 goals in 100 mins, apparently.
