Not only did we get just the two minutes, they were towards the @rse end of the programme. Again. A pound to a penny says that grinning bluesh!te tw@tburger Lineker's behind it.
MOTD is all right, although I gave up last night waiting for us. I know I'm the subject of a fatwa for having the temerity to discuss TV (I don't know why that's SO distressing to some, when endless and largely pointless speculations on hypothetical formations are deemed far more acceptable, but hey ho), but I must say that Stelling show yesterday was REALLY awful. They discussed Arsenal very calmly and politely, with Nicholas and Merson waffling away without interruption, and then Stelling launched into the most bizarre inquisition on Liverpool, demanding Thompson defended Benitez on all of his signings, tactics and plans over the last five years, and all of the others quite openly acknowledged they'd been briefed with stats compiled specially for the topic. It just went on and on and on. You'd have thought we were in a Souness-like crisis. Then they all said we'd win.
I watched that too Macca, it was a shambles.

At the end when Steling told Thompson to keep his hair on, I thought they just did it to get a rise out of Phil.
But Cottee was just being a cunt. Sure Lucas' reaction wasn't very good, asking for a card, but there is no way he slowed down to draw the foul. Then when Steling asks the panels predictions they all say a home win, but Cottee takes that bit further and says 'Liverpool, just'.

They should put Souness in the studio. Whereas Thompson always does well to stay dignified, Souness would have none of this shit.

Sorry but Bignose just isn't the most articulate of people at the best of times, and it's hard to watch him trying to get his words out when (a) he's annoyed and (b) the rest of them are all cawing around him like so many vultures squabbling over a carcass.
I just wish they'd invite the King in and try it on with him. He'd rip them all new ringpieces.

I switched onto that yesterday too in a desperate attempt to avoid Sky Sports.
Its an awful line up on BBC. Bright, Crooks and Keown. Does it get worse than that?
I don't normally subscribe to this theory that pundits hate us but Mark Bright really does seem to have an issue with us. No idea why.

I actually think that what Souey did as manager and what he does now in interviews both stem from the same thing, namely his genuine love for the club. Souey's problem as Liverpool manager (it wasn't a problem at Rangers, quite the opposite in fact) was that he was desperate to get us back to the top in double-quick time, instead of working patiently towards it. He also put his hand up after a couple of years, acknowledged that things weren't working out and offered to walk away. At that stage Moores persuaded Souey to stay (triggering at least one resignation from the board in protest), with the result that another year passed and things got even worse before he finally did leave.
