Watched some of Brossia Dortmands interplay and they are certainly level above us. Arsenal in their haydays obviously, but lets keep it in most part to the last 2-3 seasons.

Bayern have impressed me the most recently.

We're not at that level, but we play some of the best footie around. Some of our team goals this year have been superb,

Bayern this season

Barca last year

Were Barca ever really that attractive to watch? I never found them so. Sure, they were extremely talented and impressive, in the way they patiently build up and wear teams down, but I found myself getting bored after a while. I find quicker, more direct teams way more attractive to watch, but that could be just me.

Liverpool 87/88 vintage. I know, I know, but I don't fucking care. It was this lot.

Tom Finney, he know!

When we play well, we can go head-to-head in terms of style with anybody. But we have had too many poor/listless performances.

Overall, Dortmund has been the most interesting team to watch this year for me. I also enjoyed watching Malaga and Barca still played wonderfully at times. Didn't see much of Ajax this year, but what little I saw was quite interesting and impressive.

I agree totally. I find them dull and repetitive.

Man Utd in Ronaldos last season were unbelieveable at times. They scored a goal at the Emirates in the CL Semi (i think) which was just out of this world. Thats the sort of football which entertains me (not Man Utd, just quality fast attacking football)

I like watching Athletico when I get the chance, Barca are like watching paint dry until something awesome happens that 99% of the time is Messi doing something special.

That Real Madrid goal against Ajax a couple of years back was one of the most beautiful things I ever saw.
I dont think ive ever seen a better team goal.

I tend to agree. At their best, Sir Alex's sides got the combination of technical and direct pretty much spot on. Tbh I always found the Barca of 03-06 more attractive than Guardiola's, because it was a bit less pure, and therefore somehow more flamboyant.

I remember the arse scoring a great goal during that long unbeaten run they had. They picked up the ball on the edge of their box and had it in the back of the net within about 5 passes in the space of a few seconds.

I love watching Barca play.
Maybe it is because I am a boring, dull bastard but I find it mesmerizing at time.
I take the point though that it not excitement filled but then football is sport before entertainment in my opinion.

They're clearly a really attractive side, better than almost everyone to watch, but personally I think they're a bit too purist.

A couple of really good team goals that stand out to me are ones Arsenal scored at Anfield, the first being Pat Vieira's equaliser in 2004, the other their opening goal of the CL quarter final in 2007. They were irresistible.
