That win meant alot more than the points, it showed HIM that we can compete with the teams competing, and it gives us the momentum and confidence to carry on this run we're on, and lets just see where the season takes us, well done all involved today

I'm not even arsed about the message to Torres, Kriss. I'm more pleased that it's a big 'fuck you' to everyone who thought this would be his fairytale start today and those that were hoping that Torres and Chelsea would derail us. It didn't happen and we beat them on their own patch.

It was just another 3 points and as another bonus, that sort of response is more likely to wind up the twat element among their fans.

Today wasn't about Torres, it was about LFC going about its business in the best possible way.

Maybe today was not about El Cunto but it's sweet nevertheless.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

4 clean sheets on the bounce.
When did that last happen?

3 points at the bridge today is a big step in our season towards a European place

Today was about many many wonderful things.

1. Getting into the top 6 for the first time in nearly 12 months.
2. Almost rubber stamping Kenny as our next coach.
3. Giving us a great chance at European football next season.
4. Keeping alive a faint hope of CL qualification.
5. Keeping our run of wins going
6. Keeping our run of clean sheets going.
7. Showing us Kelly is now a 1st teamer for good.
8. Showing the fans even without Luis and Carrol we can still beat the best teams.
9. Showing the world LFC is bigger than any one player (no matter how talented).
10. Making every single LFC fan happier than they have been in a long long time.

I like 10 ... and I like how I agree with everything you wrote there, though we knew 7 a few weeks ago already! 😉

You are right kris, it was more than 3 points but it has nothing to do with Torres.

The fact that we won against one of the top teams away from home is such a confidence boost and helps put some fear on our future opponents' minds is the real bonus point today.

Ha ha indeed. But I honestly expected the worst when I saw Anelka Drogba and Torres together. And I thought down their right they would have a real go at Kelly.

Everyone was fantastic. I've completely fallen in love with football again today.
The Gods are back with us.

Our home form is as good as what Chelsea, City and Spurs have got.

Our away form is worse than what Sunderland, Stoke, Newcastle, Blackpool etc have.

Thank you Roy Hodgson. Thank you very much!

If not for you, we would have never got the chance to swindle Abramovich out off 50 million pounds.

Kelly was at right back, not left back.

Meant to say down our right.

Did you get up for it?

I knew you'd find it difficult not to respond to that.

I see your 'shocked face' smiley thing, but raise you a 'thou doth protest too much' in return. I bet the image hasn't left your filthy mind since lunch has it?

It was only 3 point and a big fuck you to the media who were looking for that fairytale debut for Torres.

In the bigger scheme of things, this away performance re-inforced the belief that Kenny was the right appointment and is taking us in the right direction.

Its early days yet but a bright start to a new era. I'm loving it!

Busted. Unrequited lust is a terrible thing.

I'm just glad getting up at 3am didn't turn out to be a disappointing and wasted effort because I'm crashing badly right about now and the win is the only thing keeping me from killing the dude next to me who keeps tapping his feet to some shit dance music that I can hear over my cranked headphones....

Yeah I'm pretty shattered too.

Got training at half six though, so better get some coffee.

Not sure if anyone's said this, but does anyone reckon kenny left suarez on the bench just so we could show everyone we don't need torres or his replacement?

Kenny is a master at mind games! That is a real possibility!

I'd be inclined to think that Kenny doesn't look at things that way. He left him on the bench because we were playing good football with those already on the pitch.

Oh I have no issues if it was a show of strength, I just don't get the impression that Kenny gives a toss about others perceptions of Liverpool.

Dont know if he meant it, but celebrating in front of Torres and the Chelsea bench after we scored was superb.

nope. I think kenny picked the side he thought had the best chance of winning the game.

In the sense that this victory was a morale booster then it is more than 3 points. It signals that we can compete with the better teams. More than that we have new players yet to come in and the likelihood of further additions in the next transfer window.

When Kenny said he felt he had unfinished business I think he was speaking from the heart and really has ambitions to carry on the work he did before. He looks like he's really enjoying this stint and is a wiser man because of dealing with the emotions that stalled his first managerial stint.

I think he would accept the permanent position without any qualms.
