Italian Press: Rafa after Reds midfielder

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Inter Milan manager Rafa Benitez wants to sign two new midfield players in the January transfer window. According to the paper, fitness concerns over Esteban Cambiasso have meant that Inter will follow Rafa’s recommendation and attempt to sign Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva. The Italian club are said to be confident of sealing a deal after the Brazilian lost his place in the Reds first team. Inter are also said to be targeting Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger although if their approach is rebuffed, Rafa may go after another former Reds player Xabi Alonso.

Lucas leaving would be a very happy day indeed. Now, whoose interested in an old Danish midfielder thats slow, horrible passer that can't tackle or head the ball.

Don't suppose anyone watched the Brasil v Ukraine friendly last night?
Lucas played the whole match and aledgedly "starred", whatever that means. I assume it wasn't for the Ukraine as they lost 2-0.
