It can get to fuck...

I'm done with it...

TV, Media, Agents pull the strings, its become all very tiresome..

Transfer windows are the Worst Idea ever!!! its just a media circus...

I've been there yonks ago.

Greasy, badly tattooed, spoilt arseholes which we should pay fortunes for to watch strolling around the pitch.

It all started with coloured boots, I tell you.

Take the new level of fees out of the equation and it's pretty much the same thing we've seen every window.

There's nothing new here, players honouring contracts and being one club players became a thing of the past a long time ago.

I remember years ago talking with a lady in USA. She had turned her back on professional American football, preferring college sports as the greed and histrionics at the professional level had become repulsive to her.
I'm at that level, I think, with football. My stomach has turned several times this summer. Judging from forums and public comments there does not seem to be the easy banter anymore either. The game is becoming a poor commentary on society, and I need some distance.

I posted this in another thread, but it quite easily could've gone here...

It's only one game in and I'm already sick of this season. This is the first time I haven't looked forward to the football being back. The combination of obscene money, stupid promo videos, us being utter mongs in the transfer market again, disloyal players who professed their love for the club ten minutes before they handed in a transfer request, and obviously, and finally, the shit we saw on the pitch proving that nothing has actually changed.

Yep. I think this is the year I become one of those people that, when asked "are you a red or a blue?" says "I'm a red, but I don't really keep up with it anymore."
