It's sad to see Gerrard in decline. It's been long enough since his injury and his claims to be fitter than ever to realise he's just burnt out. Carragher looked like the one who was still playing regularly of the two of them.

Hmmm, much better second half, but the scoreline flatters us a bit.

6 games unbeaten is good though, despite the lack of wins.

Suarez making a point of shaking all the officials hands. I thinking he's actually turning his image around a bit through sheer force of will... And not biting anyone.

That made me laugh ...

Oh Ross, live and little and make a throwaway remark every now and again .

Give us a little passion.

Didn't see the game. Kids birthday parties... Sounds like we had a bad first half a great second and we could have won? I'll take the point too

What do all the Carra doom-mongers have to say now?
He marshalled the defence superbly and generally did what he had to do very well but was let off on a couple of occasions when we could and should have been punished and because we played quite deep he didn't have much running to do ! I gave him #2 in the MoM thread.

Im not a "doom-monger" but i did think he was poor other than the assist.
I thought that the defense was organized better for his presence.
He did get done on a few occasions but used his experience on a few others to make some timely interventions.
He is thirty four and no longer the player he was but he is till a club legend and deserves better than the reaction his name appearing on the starting sheet got.

Yeah like turning back sharply.

In fairness he was a whole lot better in the 2nd half

Because of the stick he has got on here I was counting his 'errors' in the first half, he gave the ball away twice and was disposed twice (one of which he recovered superbly), hardly a poor performance, and when you consider all the attacking he did and tracking back (there was virtually no threat when he got into the LB position) then it was a whole lot better than 'he was a whole lot better in the 2nd half'. As a lot of people in the MoM thread seem to acknowledge.

Typical scapegoat. Enrique was fine today. You are talking shite.

Allen and Sahin were fucking awful. Game just passed then by. They are the ones you want to be looking at. As I said last week, the midfield is our problem. Add to that a finished Gerrard and it's not good.

On a side note, well done jones for the save from Torres. Kept us in the game.

Time and again Enrique got the ball and had no one to pass to but with two or three opponents racing towards him. He did surprisingly well in the circumstances.

No, you are. He was poor for a good 50-60 minutes. He kept on running at Cesar A-----a and losing the ball (he did this about 3 times in a period of 5 minutes). Once the formation changed, he was fantastic (I gave him 3rd in the MoTM rankings).

Niall Quinn agrees with me and I've just watched LFCTV and both David Fairclough and Alan Kennedy gave him MOM.

So I'll have to continue to Disagree with you my friend.

I'm not saying he was terrible for 90 minutes - I'm saying he was poor until the formation changed, and then he was excellent.

He's not a scape goat though - once he got going, the team was excellent down both flanks. Pity he, or Suarez, couldn't score their opportunities after the equalizer.

I wasn't getting at you with my comment, other people are saying he was shite, which he clearly wasn't.

As I've said plenty of times, Allen and Sahin were the big key downs today. Not a word has been said about it though.

Everyone has said Allen was poor and needs resting, and Sahin has been scape goated more than Enrique (he wasn't going to be at his level of 2 years ago after last year, and getting used to this league). Tbh, I'm very high on Sahin but I'm not as sure as I was that he's going to make it here as his chances may start to be limited with Suso's cameo, and Shelvey always on his tail.

Here we go lol. That he played well, that he brilliantly set up the header for Suarez.

However, Carragher's still on his last legs and can be a liabiltiy if he's in the team which has been evident over the last few years.

It's not a case of disrepecting a Club legend, it's just realising his best days are over and his name on the teamsheet is met with worry. The same as United fans seeing Neville in the team as he was coming towards the end of his career. There's nothing sinister or nasty about it.
