If you could make one this summer, who would it be?

Kaka?

He was useless last night. Add the fact that it was in fact his first start in the champions league all season and that ozil has more or less completely usurped him.

Could he be off this summer, would you take him/want him?

If not then who?

No idea, but if we're going to splash the cash on one position I think it has to be LW.
You teased me there Hans.
I thought this was going to be one of your insider scoops.
Transfer window opens shortly. This is the time of year when you really shine.

Kaka won't come unless we offer him a ridiculous amount of money - he is motivated by money.

I lost all respect for him when he was so close to signing for City.

He never wanted to join City and there was no amount of money even City had that would convince him. I think you're a bit wrong there Roopy mate

Kaka needs to return to Milan, or move to a team where the play can go entirely through him (as it did with Milan). That's the only chance to ressurect his career - and even then, I don't think it's likely. He's been very average since he left Milan, and look really poor during the world cup. It happens I guess

This was my understanding of the situation also.

Oh and i'd take Kaka at ~25million in a flash. Don't think he's worth much more though.

99.99% of footballers like people in any profession are signficantly motivated by money. They might've come up all untouched and pure, and free of the money evils 'n all that, but anyone who has been in the game for a decent amount of time will be influenced a fair degree by dough.

If Milan were a bigger side than Real, Italian football was better, and Real hadn't watered Milanese mouths by offering £60m, he probably would still be there, regardless of a bit of a pay rise. He went to a massive club that was clearly looking to topple the world, wasn't the Man City thing them offering an even more insane amount of money, Milan giving Kaka permission to speak to 'em and both the player and Milan getting cold feet?

Why sign a fading force for loads of money?

Wouldn't we better off going after someone like Ganso or Pastore instead of Kaka?

Slugy said mine already Thomas Muller. One of my favourite players. I bigged him up in work and to friends before the World Cup and was delighted when he performed out of his skin. I don't think we have much chance of getting him but I would love it. He likes to run from deep but Bayern have Riberry and Arjen Robbin on the wings. This pushed Muller up top for bits of last season but I still loved to watch his powerful running and clever play.

Last season I wanted us to sign a German. Muller, Ozil, Schwein, Kroos, Marin, etc.

My other Marquee signing would be Neymar. Surely he has the potential to be a star if he isn't already.

Jack Wilshere. Or Alonso to return

Being a bit more realistic, I'd love Cavani although I'm perfectly fine with the Suarez-Carroll-Kuyt frontline and would prefer a midfielder, I don't follow a lot of world football so I really have no idea who but Schweinsteiger is probably still boss. And while we're at signing Germans, I really like the look of Mario Gotze from Dortmund so sign him up too

That should be in the next edition of the Oxford English Dfictionary as the example of what "Wrong" is.

No thanx for Kaka. We have Gerrard, Ming, Joe Cole and Aquilani who can play in that position.

2 of Cavani, Sanchez or Hazard for me.

Neymar or Sanchez.

Wow! Snap Doc!

Cavani is truly wondrous, i really really rate him and it would be nice for Suarez too...

He is only 24 also....

Would cost an shiteload of cash though.

Schweingsteiger would never come...

What about the Jovetic lad we were linked with before it all went tits up? does anybody know he is getting on?

Aren't City signing Sanchez? They're hoping to have the deal wrapped up very soon.
Honestly, someone at City is going to have to look through the fair play regulations at some stage, because I'm sure they'll find that having 40 players on £200,000 a week is going to present something of a problem.

Sneijder if thats how you spell it - would do wonders for our team

Hope he doesn't go to United.
