I don't think there is a football in the player on the planet who would have apologised and asked the ref to chalk it off. Have a go at Suarez, but expect him to be saintly and operating to different standards to every other professional footballer? Fuck off.

Good post Doc

Fowler has this spot on. I'm guessing the media will blow it out of proportion as usual.

Did the commentator just say that these non-league players 'are equally as fit, if not fitter than the Liverpool players'?
What's he on?

Bruce Grobelaar.

Also, as I remember it, Robbie wasn't trying to get him to reverse the penalty decision. He was pleading with the ref not to send the offender off.

Nope. Sorry mate. He was telling the Ref the fella didnt touch him and it wasnt a pen. Ive spoken to him about it personally.

Smack

These lads are playing on adrenaline, ours are playing through fitness

It's now more if the hand is in an unnatural position it must be deliberate

It's difficult to tell intentions in matches sometimes

Yeah but that's just a new way to test for intention. If the rule is predicated on intention, and if Suarez didn't deliberately handle the ball, then I don't see how it's a foul.

The real question is whether the rule also disallows handballs that are accidental but result in an advantage - I'm not sure it does.

Tell him what?

How to do his job? I know that hit my hand ref, so you've decided out wasn't on purpose, but do you want to have another think about it?

Don't be daft.

Tell the ref that "I think you missed a handball there." If there ref didnt miss it but saw it he makes the call anyway.

I not say he should have done, but if he did the rest of the League would have a problem having a go at him....

Honestly I've got no clue. The handball rule is so subjective its difficult to police

Espn almost as bad as Fox us sticking random shit on the screen during the match.

I don't wanna see a huge fat man playing a pub game (sport my arse) every five minutes in the corner of the screen thank you!
