There's giving him games Fabs, which is fine, there's a difference though in letting him play and watching him look less than impressive against a lower league side and then throwing him in against the (current) best side in the Premiership.

This is the fine line I tread too. I think he'll be a great player in years to come, however he needs games to improve now. Thats why I was annoyed we got United in the FA cup, we could use a lower opposition to give players like Kelly, Coates, Shelvey etc more game time.
I think i'd play Coates you know.
