Rooney pretty much never ever plays well against us.
The other two can and have scored against us on a number of occasions.
Their defence has been leaking like fuck this season but their attack is fucking irresistible.

I've a feeling that sterling will be on the bench and that it will be suarez, sturridge and downing.

I'm suprised so few want Allen in.
1 thing you cannot fault with him is his workrate when we do not have the ball. He pressures the opposition all the time and at OT we will need that big time.
He's also the best player we have to retain the ball (when he is playing well and focused)
Also Sterling will start 110% he was excellant against this lot last time.
Can't see Jonjo getting near the side to be honest, point or no point to prove he's been poor since the home game against Utd.

Henderson Gerrard and lucas in midfield for me. If it's not working then take off lucas and bring on shelvey.
This strikes me as a game where Allen and lucas in the same midfield would cost us many goals in sheer lack of closing down and harrying up the pitch and closing down Carrick and Scholes.
Henderson guarantees running, as does shelvey. Henderson is more consistent (albeit safe) in his passing than shelvey

In fairness to the lad, he's not exactly talking the talk and stating all sorts of things he's going to do. He's merely being humble and respectful of the club, his manager and teammates and seems genuinely proud to be a Liverpool player.
I don't think that's fair to Allen - he does harry and work hard; the problem is that he lacks size and strength, so he's quite easily beaten for stride by a taller player, or bounced off by a stronger one.
I agree that Henderson is the better choice of the two to start this game.
This is going to be a "give the ball to Johnson" game.
He does harry, however he seems to do his harrying in our half. We need Scholes and Carrick closed down and they're going to be around the centre circle. If we close those 2 down we'll nullify a lot of their attacks.
