1. Alisson – like Klopp said after the game, he makes the difficult look easy. Saved every shot, never spilled the ball, distribution was on point. The difference-maker.
2. Hendo – honestly I was worried about him pre-game, as much as I defended him over the years, deep down there was still some tiny voice of doubt. But within the first 5 minutes of the game it was clear that he was probably the sharpest and most committed player on the pitch. He's proven the naysayers wrong and is now forever the Liverpool legend, the captain who's lifted #6.
3. Mane – our best player in Kyiv and one of the best again tonight. People talk about his pace etc, but there is also some kind almost ancient wisdom in the way he plays; somehow he never gets rattled, consistently creative, plays the game with a smile and at his own pace and his playing style is so idiosyncratic and unique that no opponent has been quite able to figure out how to control him. I'm starting to think Carra might have been right to say Sadio was Klopp's most important signing.
