Coutinho
Henderson
Lovren - would've been top two without the costly error

Mentions:
Lallana - excellent in the first half; faded in the second
Mignolet

  1. Coutinho - Great finish for the goal. I was sure he was going to score another but it was dragged wide. He was a constant menace driving at Spurs and had a great battle with Kyle Walker. Loved the bit where he flicked it over his head and then beat him again. It only resulted in a corner but it was fun to watch Walker kick fresh air out of frustration.
  2. Lallana - Another well rounded game from him. Tireless running to open up space for others and worked like a dog all game. He looked to take up a lot of central positions that Frimino would usually occupy for us. I like having him in the team.
  3. Lovren - Tricky one here. I thought he showed a nice level of aggression and made some important blocks. He was caught out for the Kane goal but that goal was like something Torres would do back in his pomp. Great goal. Kane used his body to receive the ball, block off Lovren and turn and shoot in one swift movement. Excellent finish as well.
Honorable mentions to Henderson and Can. Both seemed up for the midfield battle. Henderson was making forward runs and play making again. Nice to see.

On a side note : Anyone seen or heard of Stu (Morse) recently ? Can't see him posting any MoM threads on any of the other forums either.
