Think Suarez was a wee bit off his best today with his ball control (still did some crazy stuff out there though), but today the pair of centrebacks nailed their colours to the mast and played blinders, shutting out their tricky pair of forwards. So Skrtel and Agger get my nod this time.

Kudos to Spearing and Kuyt as well. As mentioned in the game thread, for all his rapist touches, Kuyt strokes home penalties like a Casanova. And he worked very hard today to double back and protect Carra as well. Good work from the Dirkster.
 
Kuyt is now ahead of Torres in goals scored this season, level on games.

Suarez was the best player on the pitch. Most improved and best performance yet goes to
