Man of the match - Game 38 - Southampton - Away - PL

  1. Van Dijk – this game was all about him, the hostile reception from the Saints' fans and the pressure of the price-tag. He has dealt with all of that and the Southhampton's attack brilliantly.
  2. Salah – smiling assassin just doing his thing
  3. Firmino – also doing his thing, genius assist and the finish was clinical.
Honorable mentions to Karius for a solid performance and Can who I thought was quite good (and won his first game as captain, even though he surrendered the armband later on). Very good cameo by Milner; he instantly improved us compared to the suddenly downtrodden Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Salah's contribution was massive, but he missed a couple of chances, so I took the opportunity to give Karius some credit.
