None of them

Can maybe , the rest were total shit houses rather than partial shit houses

Ming
Henderson
Allen

Edited Allen on his performance in the last 5 minutes of extra time.

Firmino – the only one with any attacking quality tonight
Can – erratic, but good effort
Benteke – I thought he actually played pretty well since coming on, plus the coolest penalty of the bunch

Honorable mentions to Welsh Pirlo and Mignolet. Oh, and Flanno for his first start.

Flanno- 3 injuries. Quite amazing.
Ming- decent in the game and won us the shoot out
Milner- a really hardworking performance

Mignolet - for the penalty saves and few mistakes in game
Flanagan - steady at the back, kept Arnautovic in check; thought he was lucky to escape a second booking
Firmino - started brightly but seemed to get slower and more casual as the game progressed

Objectively Flanno didn't do so well – some of the worst passing in the team and also didn't have the pace to keep up with Arnautovic, which is why Sakho had to run back like a madman a few times to block the shot. But I have no doubt he's going to get better and his knack for casually injuring opposition players is just unbelievable.

Flanno - amazing, I bet he's still taking them out going down the tunnel, in the changing rooms and on the bus.

That'll do for me

  1. Allen - Fuck it, why not, he scored the winning penalty and he kept us ticking over nicely in midfield. He's going to have a decent World Cup with Wales too btw.
  2. Milner - He put in a solid shift. He looked knackered but fought for every ball. He even finished the game at RB and scored his penalty without any fuss.
  3. Mingolet - Two saves in the shootout gets him a place here. He left his line to clear the danger once or twice as well.
Benteke did well when he came on. Looked interested but I don't agree with some of the positions he takes up. I want him to shoot more also.
Flanagan was solid and a nice return for him. He was out on his legs towards the end and resorted to fouling to see out the game.
