Liverpool:
Mignolet
Can
Skrtel
Sakho
Manquillo
Lucas
Henderson
Moreno
Coutinho (Borini 90)
Lallana (Markovic 77)
Sterling (Balotelli 83)

Coutinho - just.
Lallana
Moreno.

Henderson had a very good 2nd half, Lucas and Can were good for pretty much the entire game and Sterling tried hard though he was reasonably well handled.

Thought Moreno did well in that system and helped create as well as score a good goal.

Whilst im not arguing that Coutinho played well, Lallana played the incisive through ball for the first goal, scored the second and third goals and was the man pressuring Shelvey into the own goal.
He was basically key to all 4 goals so im a bit surprised to see Coutinho ahead of him on most peoples lists. Like I said he played well but Lallana was for me comfortably man of the match.

Coutinho - probably his best game for us
Lallana - ditto
Henderson - though his game was not flawless, I thought he looked like last season's Henderson and had some great crosses.

I think all three rose to the challenge and took responsibility at the absence of Gerrard.

Lallana - Involved in all goals and ran himself into the ground.
Coutinho - He couldn't put a foot wrong all night. Loved watching him glide across Anfield.
Can - Installs a bit of confidence into our shaky back line. I like the Emre Calm moniker.

Lucas and Henderson had very good games too.

Lallana was excellent - as usual - and involved in all the big moments, but it takes a whole team performance to create the conditions in which those moments can happen. With that in mind:

1. Coutinho
2. Lallana
3. Henderson

...with Can only just missing out on 3rd.
