Luis moving out wide

No - it stayed 2-1 because we missed some very good chances in that first half, that is really poor excuse Modo. My boy Downing could have had some more assists to his name BUT for bad finishing by some of our so called strikers, and goal-scorers. Please don't forget that the team we played is so down below us that I was actually shocked to learn the score was 2-1. That's the margin and score of last year against Manchester United.
I remember thinking at the time that Downing was poor in general today, but on reflection, he did create some chances, and actually had an assist. He did make a few mistakes, but he was still better than most.

Suarez will move wide and be just as effective if not more so. Space is at a premium in the middle. Out wide he will have more space to glide past players.

I think youre devaluing his yearbook entry at Carnlough community college of 'Most likely' to be a date rapist.

It must have been those day trips to school in Ballymena that did it.

They're not right in BallymenaHey!

I think the question is:
suarez in middle = X goals
suarez wide and sturridge in the middle = more than x goals?

if it means more goals for the team but slightly less for suarez so be it. time will tell.

Mark - Strurridge had some easy chances after his first goal, and he missed them. Yes we have all the tools up front now, but can they complete the task on a regular basis ? we ONLY won that game 2-1, and with a PL team were held back for much of the 2nd half. I would say at the moment looking at our team - we have the tools, but can they deliver when it counts ? - that has been the story this season, and even for much of last.

He's been out since November, it was his first game for us. I think he can be excused for missing a chance, every striker does, given he scored in the 7th minute of his debut while half fit.

Have a look at Andy Cole's record and his medal haul, he was hit and miss too but bagged that many goals because he was so quick and so good at getting in the positions.

You're missing one crucial point anyway. Sturridge and Suarez didn't play together.

Lads, Suarez is boss. Doesnt matter where he starts, he'll still be wrecking havoc and scoring goals. At least he'll have a capable foil who can contribute in Sturridge.
