Has left Athletico to join Racing. He career seemed to half once he left us. Don't remember him getting a decent run in the Athletico side and lost his place in the Spanish squad.

Some loved him, some hated him, but he was a great asset and big game player for us.

Yeah, good luck Luis. He'll always be a lil' Liverpool legend after those CL goals, whatever flaws there may have been in his game as a whole.

Atletico's sports director recently said he regrets signing him.

I always liked Luis but we've done very well replacing him with Yossi at the right time.

I'm not sure we couldn't find a place for the Luis of 2009 on our bench now. I'd take him ahead of Voronin in a heartbeat.

Not sure whether anyone hated him mate, but he was a mighty inconsistent fucker who scored some marvellous goals for us.

Not surprised his career has gone downhill with his weekly performances.

Luis Garcia is a player you're allowed to irrationally love and defend because he produced some of the finest moments in Liverpool's history.

Fuck the haters. We wouldn't have lifted number 5 without him. What else matters? Really?

Amen brother.

Yep. You would accept 4 games of shite knowing that in the 5th he was going to do something outrageous, you'd probably remember forever.

I dunno but i'm sure something he did proves Rafa imcompetance as a manager as i'm sure Rage will remind us about it soon enough.

So So True that post

Superb player for the big games, but sadly was never consistent enough for a league side imo.

Some magical memories though.
