As per @the count (start new thread damnit):

Luis Alberto is set for a move to Valencia for a fee of £5M. [Cadena SER]

I think we should have gotten more here - had a good year in La Liga, but better for him (& us I guess) to move on and get some money along the way.

5 mill £ is a good deal for him I reckon. Potentially 37 mill £ incoming today. Decent that.

Spanish clubs havent got much money so its not that weird.
There were interest from the Championship I think, but I can see why he'd rather move to the likes of Valencia.

Valencia just got 40 odd million euros for Gomes so they're not exactly short.

They struggle with FFP.

“We’re above the FFP guidelines, that’s the reality, and as of today, the four players we’ve signed cannot be registered, meaning we need to reduce the cost in a significant manner to register the players and sign a centre-back, which is a priority in case one of the ones at our club leaves,” Garcia Pitarch told a press conference.

They should consult Man. City or Chelsea re FFP.
They never seem to have any issues...

True.

How´s TLV? Going to Anfield this season?

Not too bad (though I don't go there much).
Is TLV (or ISR) on your travel map sometime soon. Let me know if it is and we can arrange to meet.

Unfortunately no Anfield plans this season either. Travel budget already spent elsewhere...

Nothing concrete but I really want to visit TLV soon again but I´ve been travelling too much so I haven´t been able to squeeze it in.
Loved Israel so it will happen! Going to Anfield in december again for the west ham game.

Make sure you let me know ahead of coming over.
We'll try and get @LeTallecWiz join us for a pint or two.

West Han game is the one we met each other in December 2013!
It ended 4:1. Here's hoping you get to see another emphatic win!

Life in Valencia or Seville when you're Spanish, or life in Burnley or Wigan or somewhere grim. Not much of a decision.
