That's kinda the argument I had with this chap last night.. After asking me, "would you consider this season to be a success after the amount of money you spent"..

I said "by any means no.. As we are a club with ambition, but the fact we are in Europe and won a trophy is a bonus,.. you ?"

i was waiting for the train at bootle stand a few weeks ago and some trackied up scally was staring intensly at the floor with headphones in sitting next to an old woman and his girlfriend. all of a sudden he stands up and screams at the top of his voice and does a really aggressive celebration which absolutely terrified the old woman. after he calms down he turns round to his girl and says '4 - 0, we're finishing above liverpool'.
