Lomo?

Anyone in to lomography here? I'm thinking of buying a Lomo Lc-a or a Holga. I'm on parental leave so I thought I'd need a project on my daily walks and I like the look of lomo photos. Is it as easy as their slogan says to take all those nice photos?
Would appreciate some advice.
