According to the Coventry local newspaper

Coventry Telegraph said:
Coventry City maintained their promotion push with a dramatic 4-3 victory against Barnsley last night.
But they will be forced to revamp their team for Saturday’s FA Cup tie against Northampton Town with Adam Armstrong and Ryan Kent, who supplied three of the goals at the Ricoh Arena, ruled out by their parent clubs.
Kent, in fact, has returned to Liverpool – temporarily, hopes City boss Tony Mowbray – because new Anfield chief Jurgen Klopp wants to run the rule over his young assets.
But Joe Cole, who opened his Sky Blues account with a magnificent free-kick last night, is available to face the Cobblers, if Mowbray decides it won’t be stretching the fitness of the former England man who turns 34 next week.
City will also be without midfielder Romain Vincelot, who picked up his fifth booking of the season for an injury-time flare-up when he tried to prevent Barnsley re-claiming the ball from the penalty that put them within striking distance of a remarkable comeback.
“We’ll have to make changes,” said Mowbray, “but we’ve got the squad to accommodate that - at least in the forward positions.
"Ryan is going back to Liverpool for a few days prior to the international call-up so that the new coach can have a look at him.
"All the loan players are going back for a few days I think, that's fine by us; that's good. When a new manager comes in he wants to have a look at all of his players."
“I might have made changes in any case because I think tonight’s match demonstrated that some players were suffering from their exertions on Saturday.
“It’s ironic that a week or so ago we were on the point of getting six successive clean-sheets and now we’ve conceded five goals in two home games.
“But the positive thing is that we are scoring goals – and what goals they were. You couldn’t have written the script for Joe but that’s the sort of quality he has.”
Cole, who was taken off moments after his strike, said: “It was nice to get the goal, especially from a free-kick.
“I’ve played in teams with great free-kick takers, the likes of Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard so I have not taken too many in my career.
“I could send a few players away who wanted it but it’s hard to do that when Beckham’s in the team.
“It’s nice when you’re winning and we know there still work to be done and the best thing about it is the lads were in the dressing room disappointed with the performance and that shows the standards of a good team.
“We all wanted to play better tonight but we still got three points against a Barnsley side who are better than their position suggests.”

Isn't Kent rated massively? Could Klopp fancy him for some Europa League games? (I'm assuming all U21s are eligible without being registered?)

Klopp just wants to have a look at him. He'll most likely return to Coventry. His loan expires in January so...

Klopp has said he wants to review our policy about loaning young players, which is great. I guess the reserve game system in Germany is better than here, but if Klopp can work with more of these prospects and see more loanees actually get played rather than left to languish on the bench, it'll be progress.

Jurgen Klopp has vowed to overhaul Liverpool’s approach to the loan system as he wants youngsters to stay put at the Academy as they learn their trade.

The Reds currently have more than a dozen players out on temporary deals, including most of their best under-21 starlets.

That list includes the likes of Harry Wilson, Kevin Stewart, Ryan Kent, Sheyi Ojo, Samed Yesil, Jordan Williams, Lloyd Jones, Danny Ward, Lawrence Vigouroux, Sergi Canos, Taiwo Awoniyi and Ryan McLoughlin.

First-team squad players Mario Balotelli, Andre Wisdom, Tiago Ilori, Luis Alberto and Lazar Markovic are also out on loan.

Klopp has been getting to grips with the loan system in England and intends to make some changes to how Liverpool use it.

“Of course I am looking at the loan players,” he said.

“I try to learn all about English football because it is completely different to other countries. Liverpool a few years ago had 20 to 25 players out on loan.

“It is not normal to have players on loan in Germany, but in England it is.

When I have time I watch these players. I went to Wolverhampton to watch Ojo but he didn’t play!

“It’s part of my job – what we do with the guys here and those out on loan. There will be a time when we have to make a decision.

“I’m not sure in this moment it’s always best to give young players to other clubs. I think it’s a kind of pressure you don’t need at that age.

“You play together with experienced players every day and have to show you are better than them. Everyone at home is expecting you to take the next step.

“Maybe we need to cool down the situation a little bit, hold on to these guys longer and let them play in our second team and develop as a team. We will see what we will do in the future.

“Usually a manager in England has not enough time to change things. But we will try to take our ideas and change a few things for the future.”

We are short of wingers and Kent is a damn good one with ace prospects. Lets's hope that a) he's good enough for the squad and b) he gets game time.
