Anyone watching? Good match and we're looking comfortable. Silva with 2 brilliant goals to take us 2-0 up so far.

Adorjan playing well, while Sterling has been a thorn in their flesh though he's had a bit less end product because he needed a touch too many at times. Morgan missed a sitter earlier on and Sterling had a bad touch, or we'd have been 4-1 up by now (they had a good header just wide after our keeper came for the ball from a corner and missed).

3-0 , Morgan , keeps his run up, that 13 games in a row with a goal . Think they said he not 17 until next week .

They really do play some nice football , they're all so comfortable on the ball and pass it around nicely .

yeah they taking the piss now , making it look very easy .... such an attacking team .

Think it a slightly weaker/younger united team as they resting players for upcoming Youth Cup game . It such a pity we lost in that to them , think we have much better players than them just made some mistakes , but guess good for the learning curve .

Shame many of them wont be eligible.

6-0 FT

Raheem and Sterling played well, Silva score two good goals. Great performance from the whole team.

They really do play in that Barca fashion. Everyone works hard and the opposition have a nightmare keeping hold of the ball. When we have the ball we have a bunch of players who can hurt them. Sterling didn't have his best day, but he still manages to cause havoc every time he gets the ball. He's a mean wee tackler too. It is nice to see the under 18s and reserves redeploying a lot of the same players. It will make the transitions up the ladder seamless. That could have been double figures there, easily.

The both of them, Raheem & Sterling, find it too easy at that level. He's unbelievably good.

Fantastic result. Only saw the last two goals. Hopefully someone recorded it.

Just checked the age restriction in the FA youth cup the rules state:

Only those players are eligible to take part who have reached the age of 15 years by
midnight on 31 August of the current season and not reached the age of 18 years as at
midnight on 31 August of the current season. (For season 2011-2012, a player must have
been born on or after 1 September 1993 and before 1 September 1996).

That means that next season these lads wont be eligible:

Ngoo
Flanagan
Coady (C)
Sama
Wisdom

However these players will be back to win it next year:

Jack Robinson (barely made it born 1993 September 1)
Sterling
Suso
Silva
Morgan
Mcgiveron
Regan
Conor Thomas
Brad Smith

We're still gonna have a strong team next season a bit more mature as well.

Rafferty will still be eligible too. It is unbelievable that Morgan is still 16!

Thought Roddan was fantastic too. He hasn't had much of a look in with Coady, but I thought he was simply excellent. Superb tackling, and great distribution. Another decent looking player. I have to say, I don't fancy Ngoo much. He's a big unit, and obviously is extremely awkward for young lads to deal with. But he doesn't look to be technically proficient and I think he'll look less and less special as he rises through the ranks.

yeah, i think you can just tell that ngoo's just a bit of a physical freak, not too much of a footballer in there really, at least not enough of one.

one i thought deserves a mention is young jack dunn, the u16 lad who came on near the end. i'm not sure if he's 16 or even 15, but he's been the one everyone's been talking about from the apparently excellent u16 team. first time i've seen him play, and it definitely looks like he's got talent. really mobile, confident, technically gifted little attacking midfielder, could be another one we're talking about over the next couple of years. i'm really starting to believe we've got something special with these lads now - before i thought 2 or 3 would definitely make it, now i'm leaning towards 7-8 of our current youngsters still being around the squad in 5 years.

If Roddan was the guy playing the middle I agree.
Agree about Ngoo also, but it's impossible to say in the future he might be another Andy Carroll. Must build some muscles though.

Morgan is still only 16 but Sterling will be able to participate in the next two FA youth cups due to his birthday being late in the year.

Forgot about the new Irish lad Ryan McLaughlin.

The same can be said about Andy Carroll imo, he's not exactly Xavi.
Seriously though, Ngoo needs to bulk up a bit. He's already got the height.
I think he has a lot of potential. If someone like Heskey, Cole, Carroll, Ferguson, Harewood etc made it I think Ngoo also has what it takes.

Doc, don't be too hard on Livvy - 3aheem Sterling does play like 2 players. He's that quick!

you could be right, and i hope you are. but there's just something about him - he really is amazingly awkward. i just look at him run, look at his body shape when he's on the ball, and i can't help but think 'i don't see a premier league footballer coming from THAT'.

still, tbf to him, he does seem to get the job done with an ease that belies his total inelegance, at this level at least.

I suppose people must have said the same about Crouch, but I'm not overly confident.

Morgan is turning out to be a real striker's striker. He's got that priceless ability to get on the end of things. 13 successive games he's scored in now. He's the anti-Torres.

How is Conor Thomas getting on?
Did well for the reserves in his last game.
I haven't seen him with the reserves yet.
You calling me a liar? kidding.
He came on for Shelvey in their last game.
