According to the Twitter grapevine, Liverpool have taken a stand against offensive language at Anfield, however their method of communication has raised plenty of eyebrows.
Liverpool have sent out letters to all their members denouncing the use of offensive language at football matches, however the Merseysiders have made sure their is no ambiguity by, literally, listing every disgraceful word which fans are know to utter in the stands.
Did Liverpool really need to remind people what words are cuss words?

I honestly read "Downy" and though 'I dont see what Downings nickname has to do with this'

If this is real, which I sincerely doubt, we deserved to get caned in the press like the Downings that we are
 
I don't see the issue with it being handed out, it's just that a fair few of them are stupid.

Most of the gender category is laughable.
 
Who the fuck in the UK uses the word 'coon'?

Obviously the context needs to be known but the use of the word handicapped isn't offensive? Only when applied to someone that isn't I guess..

I grew up with a sister who was handicapped and I can't think how else you would describe it!
 
The sexual orientation section is like a list of the 13 most popular words and phrases from school back in the 90's.

Love thy neighbor and till death us do part, 2 huge sit coms used it about 5 times every episode.

It was very widely used in the 50's and 60's.
I joined a ship in the 50's with a black lad from Liverpool, the Captain called us scouse and burnt scouse.

See, that's the kind of joke you could say now & most black lads would laugh, cos it's not insulting when referring to the persons colour & doesn't have painful history attached.

I understand why older people used those terms then, but it annoys me when they do see why they can't now. Bex grandad calls me rude when I pull him for saying stuff like that.
