Hi All - The wifes got to pull an all weekender at work this week. When this usually happens I tend to go and visit mates that are in far flung parts of the country for a piss up. Sadly most of them have kids now and their piss up priorities have changed and this particular weekend they are all busy. Still I wouldn't mind going somewhere. I have never been to Ireland at all (much to my shame) so thought maybe I could head there. I have no problem travelling about on my own but have no idea where to go. I suppose it's out of Dublin or Belfast. I know there are lots of people on here who live on the emerald isle. Can anyone offer me any tips or advice? I'm thinking of going Friday morning and coming back Sunday or maybe Monday. I was half thinking of hiring a car when I was there and going for a spin to some nice part of the country for a day/night as well.
