[article]Barcelona and Juventus have joined Paris Saint-Germain in expressing an interest in Adam Lallana.

Lallana has two years remaining on his contract and talks are expected to take place in the next few months.

[Lallana’s] willingness to sign a contract extension may depend on the club returning to the Champions League, particularly if the likes of Barcelona and Juventus are also ready to bid for his services.

Not a bad ascent in the last 18 months!

i think he would tear shit up royally in Spain. Possibly having a bigger positive impact on his game than say Coutinho, who would obviously also flourish.

If he thinks he's good enough to play for Barcelona after half a season of quality - following three of mediocrity - he's stupider than he looks.

If Barcelona make a bid for him, then it is them who believe he is good enough, not Lallana. And if the bid is accepted, Lallana would be a fool not to go and have a crack.

Basically, you're talking shit.

I'd sell him for a massive bid considering his age, but it would have to be massive for it to be of any benefit for us as we're already loaded and don't need the cash, and we won't find someone whose an improvement on his current form for anything less than £40million, and no ones going to bid anything near that amount.

he's got 2 and a half years left on his contract its hardly the end of the world, what do you propose @hmmmmm1 ?

Hadnt realised it was 2.5 years which is more than fine.

Its when it gets under 2 years, say this time next year when seem to come unstuck and and the power shifts to the player when they have 18 months left of thier contract.

Two and half years left means his agent is probably getting ready to sort a new deal. Coincidental timing for Europe's elite to come calling for Lallana? Possibly. Possibly not.

Yeah, he's improved outta sight and moneybag clubs are sniffing round.

So sell him for what we paid for him.

Business acumen right there.

£50m

You'd sell him for an amount nobody is going to offer ?

He's arguably our best player at the moment and I'm tired of selling our best players.

£50m or no game. And, even at that price, probably no game. Selling him for anything in the region of £25m would be tantamount to lunacy.

This is a non starter in my book. I can't see clubs bidding an amount to encourage us to sell and I don't see Lallana agitating for a move away.

As LTW said, "Not a bad ascent in the last 18 months". Lallana has gone from a potential squad player with us to being mentioned as a potential target* for the likes of Barca and Juve.

*I don't think the links are credible.

I'd sell for £30m at the end of the season.

He has only improved if you discount the fact that he was better before he arrived at Liverpool.

Anyway, in 18 months time we'll know whether we were right to keep him.

I'd be tempted for 35m ish. It might go even higher if he has a great second half to the season, but then it would be a bigger loss to the team

He's certainly been one of our best players so far this season, although if he'd been this effective every season we would be loathe to lose him for any price

He's at or near his peak physically at 28, but he didn't have any pace to lose so maybe he could play on for longer than some at a high level

Why on earth would you want to sell him at the end of the season?

Who's the guy who used one or Ross' post as his signature? The one about Lallana playing in the English lower leagues by the time he was 30? The race is on. Lallana is 29 in May. He should be getting linked to Bristol Rovers and not Barcelona* for Ross to be getting closer to the win here between them.

*I don't think the Barca links are credible.

If he hadn't taken the performance enhancing drugs this season he'd be on track

Hope they missed the game last night

It's ok Modo, they probably remember his good games too. It's funny that you've cried throughout the Lucas thread about people ignoring his good games and qualities, when you've spent the last few years desperately waiting to pounce on poor form from the likes of Henderson and Lallana in every match thread.

Must hurt, all this good form and attention that he's getting. Especially when Lucas continues to be a laughing stock.

I dont see him leaving, i dont see us selling.

He's kicked on as we all hoped he would.

He's worth at least 40m in todays market
