I've a ticket for Panathinaikos v Ajax tonight, I want @cloggypop to tell what's Dutch for 'You're all a bunch of wankers, I know this because cloggypop of the internets told me so'. I reckon I'll get the entire crowd singing it as it's so catchy. Especially when I translate it into dodgy Greek.

Je bent allemaal een stelletje rukkers, Ik weet dit omdat cloggypop van de internets vertelde me zo.

Eikel is knobhead if you prefer that.

If you want to be properly offensive you need to use diseases and illness.

Kankerlijer (cancer sufferer) and teringlijer (tuberculosis sufferer) are about as bad as it gets.

I don't think I'll remember that. I'm not sure I've thought this through properly.

It should actually be

As the "you" is plural. Good job you haven't shouted the first one!

Brad Jones?
Kenneth Vermeer has been injured all season so Brad Jones has been playing all the matches. Despite this, Feyenoord have won their first five Eredivisie matches. It's their best start to a season since 1970.

Nothing better than Mourinho, Ibra, Pogba, Fellaini and Manchester United losing twice in a week.

Its almost like Mourinho knew what he was doing with Schweinsteiger; he isn't enough of a cunt to be part of the squad.

Great result for Dundalk tonight too.
We've made 6 times as much from that 1-1 draw than we did from winning the league last year.

How's that for some perspective?

Guessing that its not your team.

I don't really like Israeli football - I like looking out for potential 'gems' but they're so few of them, it's almost like looking for a needle in a haystack. There's one talented kid now @ Granada, but I don't think he'll amount to much.

Same here can't stand Swedish football.

It's fundamentally a matter of unrequited love. He wanted the LFC job when Rafa got it and hasn't forgiven either Rafa or the club since.

Cry me a river, Jose.
Did he want the Liverpool job? I'm not convinced myself

Apparently he made contact with Liverpool (or more likely his agent did) about taking over the Liverpool job while Ged was till in charge.
He was told that there wasn't a vacancy and it sort of ruled him out of the job when the jod did became available.
It might be urban legend but it is a very persistent rumour if it is.

All I read was that when Liverpool wanted a new manager, Mourinho and Benitez were top of the list, as the two best, most highly-rated young managers in the world. But Mourinho was always thought to be keener on Chelsea.

There's so many rumours and chat, but I never ever got the impression Mourinho was going anywhere else but Chelsea, but equally I also thought that Benitez favoured Liverpool.

Didn't work out too badly for either of them.

Well, Mourinho was quoted at the time as admiring LFC, its history and its relationship with its fans, and there were a number of rumours (and a reported pic) doing the rounds to the effect that the screensaver on his mobile was a clip of the Kop singing "YNWA". It did seem to me that he and his representatives were mounting something of a campaign and my bet is that's why he was so thoroughly miffed when we didn't fully return his interest. I can see what you mean about the Chelsea tie-up but Abramovich arrived at Stamford Bridge not that long before Mourinho was appointed, and before that all happened I could well see the job of leading LFC back to pre-eminence appealing to someone with Mourinho's self-regard.

Incidentally I did once read that Pako Ayestaran was initially keener than Rafa about coming and that he was instrumental in persuading Rafa that this was the job for them.
