Kuyt on Kenny

Now, as I said, I'm not getting carried away, but I have been happy about our change in approach, and it's interesting to see Kuyt saying pretty much exactly what any idiot could see. I've even used patented Binny bolding! God I'm glad Hodgson has fucked off.

Clarke obviously has a good rep, and the point about him organising training sessions differently (with emphasis on passing in tighter spaces) is good to hear. We haven't had a great no. 2 since Pako and I hope he has a good influence on the team. Kenny certainly seems to trust him, and the way they celebrated the third goal together was very heartening to see.

Nope. Any fool can pass in 5-aside

It takes really good players to work triangular passing in a broom cupboard with a scandanavian beast trying to tackle them.

There are about 1 billion drills you can do that put emphasis on short-range passing in tight spaces. You don't need to be Steve Clarke to know or practice them either.

Though Pako would stop all this tight passing nonsense and get the boys to run up a steep slope a few dozen times instead.

LOL Farkmaster. Yeah, might be a bit exaggerating to brand it as being close to total football but the bold parts are true. Instead of worrying about the opposition and nullifying their threats, maximizing our own 'weapons' can only bring more out of the team.
