Footy365 recently ranked their top 10 South American imports to the Premier League.
Granted, Coutinho will eventually be 1 but in the interim, it's:
  1. Kun
  2. Suarez
I know we're all probably a bit biased, but I just don't see how Kun be ahead of Suarez. Suarez basically carried a team on his back on an improbable run a few years ago - Kun has always been around much better talent (until Suarez moved to Barca obviously).

If we switched them around, would we have done better over 2.5 years with Kun?
Would City have done better with Suarez?

Daft thread. There's currently one on TLW with a poll. It's 100% Suarez. As it obviously should be.

Can you be more gentle with me Cloggy? I'm not Wildeers.
The OP on the other site is getting far more abuse than daft mate. Not from me obviously but he is.

Hopefully Wilders will be banged up after his race hate trial that he hasn't bothered turning up for. Even that gobshite would be voting Suarez though.

Suarez needed 4 seasons to equal the premier league goal record
Aguero is on his 6th season

Suarez is a better all-around player, no doubt. But I have to admit, I did wish we had Aguero instead when Suarez was serving a long ban for biting an opponent for the second time.

Who has missed more games due to bans and injuries? Probably Aguero?

I'd choose Suarez anyway but Aguero does miss a good few games every season which always seems to be a bit of a momentum breaker for city

Aguero won trophies with City whilst Suarez got banned for racially abusing and biting players.

That's what a lot of neutrals will remember.

Aguero is a fantastic striker but Suarez is more complete.

Suarez won the copa America with Uruguay though.

That gif is better from the other angle. Neymars face, looked like he wanted to punch him.

As regards to Kun vs Suarez, lets not forget we could have had Kun had the board had the balls (work permit would have been a slight problem, but it could have been argued he was an exceptional talent).

Kun and Suarez in the same team would have been more mouth watering than Torres (at his peak) and Suarez. Alas we had neither duo at the same time.

Kun is the better finisher, Suarez the better all round player.

In Suarez' first half-season with us he admittedly wasn't at his best in front of goal. However, he then put that right with cream and sugar on top, and I don't know that there's been evidence since then to show that Aguero's the better finisher.

It's a bit misleading anyway. "Best import to the Premiership" could lead you to make a call based on length of time in the Premiership, impact on the team, and trophies won.

And if you look at it like that, then it's a much closer call, given Aguero has scored almost twice as many goals in this country, and won two titles and two league cups, whereas Suarez has one league cup in total.

If you were looking at the quality of the player, then I don't really think it's quite so close. Aguero is a brilliant finisher and amazing striker, but Suarez is just...better.

Exactly. Based on Premiership alone, Aguero shades it (109 goals in 158 games). Suarez is the better player overall.

I'm not sure how big of a factor Aguero's injury history is, sure he misses on average eight games a season - but his scoring record doesn't seem to suffer because of it.

Aguero misses 8 games per season due to injury
Suarez misses 8 games per season due to suspension.

Suarez every day of the fucking week! No offence to the OP but a daft question!
