Kuala Lumpa or Hong Kong?

So I'm flying over to Oz in August. I'm stopping over in Singapore to visit a mate but then I thought I'd jog on to Kuala Lumpa or Hong Kong. I've been to KL before but it was 20 years ago. Never been to HK though. Anyone have any ideas which is the more awesome and any tips what to do while there? Thanks lots. 🙂
