we cant afford not to find a goalscorer by next season.

either carroll steps up or we start suiting his style of play or we spend on a goal scorer.

how the fudge we didnt score a half dozen last night i dont know.


same as with the stoke,swansea,norwich,sunderland,utd,city games.

we get a vintage torres like forward and we'll walk the league.

id like the upmost amount of faith to be shown in big andy until then though,he could quite easily be that man
 
yeah, suarez is a great player but he's better off as a second striker, not a finisher. it always baffles me that when he plays with carroll suarez is the main striker and andy in a second striker role, its fuckin absurd actually, even when andy came on yesterday for his regular 5 min roll around the pitch he played in a quite deep role, hope this isnt a coaching tactic cause its really stupid.
 
hmmm, i assumed he was higher up, fair enough, i didnt watch much of newcastle. just thought to be in that role your first touch would have to be decent

We have a great goalkeeper one of the best defences in the league and thats about it, our central midfield is average, our wide players are poor and we badly need at least 1 more forward, to suggest that one signing would turn us into title contenders is nuts, look at the teams above us we are miles off winning a title, perhaps as far as at any time in the last 20 years

If you just watch his Newcastle compilation goals on Youtube you'll see he makes goals from deep a lot of the time. His first touch is good in a few of the clips too.

Yeah i suggested it a while ago, but suarez cannot be at the front

It seems we've got 2 players in the same position who offer very different abilities

Still need a poacher though

That's waaaaaaay OTT. The only squad which is well ahead of ours is Citeh's and they're not exactly walking away with it at the moment.
 
Alternatively, someone has to tell Suarez to stop taking the shot. Right now he really is piss poor where it counts.
 
Here are some stats on goal scored from games played.

Suarez 5 from 18
Maxi 2 from 5
Kuyt 0 from 15
Carroll 2 from 16
Bellamy 2 from 12

Henderson 1 from 18
Adam 2 from 18

Skrtel 2 from 16

We need more than one goal scorer. We need attacking players who can contribute 10-15 goals per season in addition to our strikers.

In the last four to five years, the PL winners and second place side have averaged nearly 80 goals a season.
 
The thing is , a fair few people pointed out early in the season that we'd signed players with a history of being low goal scorers and surprise , surprise half way through the season and we've scored fuck all !!! . It nearly feels like someone forgot to check that part when putting this team together .

It's beyond a joke now ...i don't give a shite about how well we played , how we make loads of chances , the goals will come , someone is going to get a hiding blah blah ....it's been going on for half the season now and it's obvious we have major problems scoring .

What's even scarier was that in the last 2 games ,against fucking useless teams in the bottom 3 , it looked like the players were starting to lose belief that they could score . You could feel there was little belief we were going to win the games ...it was just a "here we go again" .
