Not Michael and Brian. How good are Michaels kids?
I know that they play in the Danish league but is there a chance that they'll be as good as their father and uncle?

The short answer is; No

The more thorough one;

The oldest chap, 20-yaer-old Mads Laudrup, is earning his trade in the next best Division in Denmark and although he looks like a good footballer I reckon it's going to be tough for him to make it much further than to e.g. a Serie A mid-table team (e.g. Palmero, Udinese etc) or maybe a mediocre English team. He's actually not anything like his father on the pitch to be honest. He's throwing himself into tackles and covers a lot of ground like Masher almost.
Something you couldn't exactly accuse his father of doing to much. I don't reckon he'll make it to the top even though he's enherited some of his fathers vision and skills on the ball.

Then there's is the younger brother, Andreas. He's nothing like his father either but much more like his Uncle actually. (Don't know if Brian and Michael has swapped wifes at some point, but he's got striking similarities in both looks and presence compared to Brian).

Anyways he's amazing in one-on-ones very much like Brian but his main challenge at this point is his physique. He's very tiny. Not particulary short but very thin.

He's only 18-years-old mind and already on the verge of getting his debute in the Danish Superleague and he could turn into a real crowd-pleaser. I'm not sure he'll ever make it England though, much more suited to the Spanish or Italian game probably. As some would argue was the same with regards to his father.

On the other hand, Brian, his Uncle, did ok in Scotland albeit not beeing the strongest of players. So it's probably a bit premature to write him off completely.

*Don't get me wrong, as everyone else in the football-loving part of Denmark, I'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed they'll be just as good as their Dad/Uncle. I doubt it though.

**Brians kid is turning into quite a golfer mind. What a waste of talent eh? 🙂

Thanks man. Great post.
Hopefully at least one of them get to carry on the family tradition.
Not Brian's son though.

Cheers mate, no problem 🙂

That would be amazing, yeah. And maybe even Kasper Schmeichel could get his career going as well. Would be just like in the good 'ol days.

Sounds great.

Can I just interrupt this Viking mutual admiration society to point out that a recent survey identified Denmark as Europe's capital of teenage drinking? 😉

Haha... I know, we're thirsty people.

*And apparently water doesn't do the trick.

Brian Laudrup was brilliant for Rangers.

He sure was.

But whether that was mostly down to the Scottish league beeing crap-ish or him beeing able to actually cope with the physical game despite his nature is not quite obvious, at least not to me.

Anyways most players today can beef up a bit so if Andraes Laudrup really was to emulate his Uncle's skills and talents I reckon he could eventually end up in of the best clubs in England as well.

It will be very interesting to see whether a player like David Silva would make it in The Premiership.

He's extremely tiny after all, yet immensely skillful.

*I'm sure he'll need to do his push-up's every morning though.

I guess you were right in your general assessment.
Just noticed that Andreas Laudrup is a regular in for his team in the Danish league, promising signs?
