Hull City want to take young Liverpool winger Ryan Kent on loan for the season.
The Tigers are currently in advanced talks with the Reds for the £8m transfer of Scottish international left-back Andy Robertson.

While any move for Kent would not be dependent on the Robertson deal, Hull hope that it will smooth the way in their pursuit of the Oldham-born attacker.
Kent has been a man in demand this pre-season with Harry Redknapp’s Birmingham City among a host of Championship clubs who contacted the Reds to register their interest.
The 20-year-old winger earned plenty of plaudits during a successful stint at Barnsley last term, where he made 45 appearances and was named the Tykes’ Young Player of the Year.

Jurgen Klopp was keen to have a look at Kent in pre-season and he looked dangerous during his second half appearance against Tranmere on Wednesday night.
He didn’t feature against Wigan on Friday and it remains to be seen whether the England youth international can make the party for Hong Kong, given Premier League Asia Trophy rules dictate a squad limit of only 25, and the Reds will take three goalkeepers on the trip.

The likes of Sheyi Ojo - wanted by Middlesbrough on loan - Divock Origi, Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana can all take a role in those areas if required. That may tempt Klopp to allow Kent to enjoy another year’s development within Championship football at the KCOM stadium.
As well as Barnsley he had a previous spell at Coventry City where he also performed well.

The thing with Ojo is he has so much pace, if we started with Mane and Salah and then brought on Ojo after about 70 minutes, it would make for a frighteningly pacy attack all game. But to make that work Ojo needs to show he's finally acquiring the tactical nous that has so far eluded him. But for a defender, having chased the two senior players around for more than an hour and then to see another pacy player come on, blimey, it would be shattering.

As far as Kent is concerned, if he has to go on loan I'd want it to be a Premier League club, but I'd much prefer us to keep him.
