Thinks he owns the place

According to Liverpool.no, Serbian media are reporting that Jova has been freed without being given any compensation. He's now in negotiations with Olympiakos.

Its not confirmed yet, but if true. Excellent news.

yeah just read this, to be honest he was one of the players i thought we could get a price for

From a rumoured £7m Jan bid from Wolfsburg to the rumoured £2.5m pay off he was looking for to leave the club permanently and now this. Roller coaster ride of some sort. 😛

Maybe he's agreed to just go and sign for someone else on a free (hence getting another hefty signing on fee)? I hope so anyway, we owed him 48k per week for the next two years.

If so, fair play to him. Seems not willing to sit around picking up a fat paycheque.

So that's one off the list at least..another 12 to go is it?

Surely someone would have paid us a decent fee for him? Serbian international, has scored goals in the Belgium league (not that high a standard I know).

Another weird free transfer for us.

I dunno, we owed him close to £5m in wages, maybe we've just cut our losses. We might have got about £2.5m for him, but if we made an agreement for a pay off we might have ended up paying the same amount anyway to the player. It's as broad as it's long really.

I really hoped that Jova would have worked out but he just didn't look the part. Good luck to him.

What a great pre-season gift! Great start to the season. I'm expecting big things...

he had an awesome first game, grabbed some lads bollocks while he was marking him, then put his feet up on the back of hodgsons seat like a fuckin boss when he came off

I don't hate him, although I suspect he's a bit of a cunt behind the scenes.

He hasn't had much of a chance, but I don't think he's all that good really. It's within everyones interests for Jova to move on.

"He really should be given a run in the team up front blah blah blah...

At the time we had Torres either injured or away with the fairies in his head, N'Gog as his only stand-in and Hodgson making the decisions, plus Jovanovic had a stormer up front against the Arse in his first game as Lewy says (got a standing ovation when he came off).

According to his agent he's 99% certain to sign for Anderlecht.
Will be good to get him off our books..

Sounds good. The problem is that, so far, it's only "according" to someone on too many of our fringe players who hopefully is on their way out.
