Needs to get his act together. Not impressed with him at all this season. I think Ryan has touched on this before, but he's having little to no influence on games at the minute.

Games are passing him by, the lung bursting runs and lovely interchanges around the box has disappeared. Even his work rate isn't what it was compared to last season...I don't know if he's believing his own hype with the vice-captaincy etc and thus he's taking his place in the side for granted but we need a lot more from him.

I can see why people would point to having no Suarez and Sturridge ahead of him to link up with and it's a perfectly valid argument but I'm really disappointed the likes of Hendo and Coutinho aren't taking upon themselves to drag us through.

Maybe I'm being too harsh, what y'all think?

I think we all recognize that Hendo is way off the pace from last season. To be fair he's obviously not on his own in that category.

The difference is I think Coutinho is desperately trying to rediscover that level; same goes for Skrtel, Lucas and even Allen. But Henderson's level is based purely on work rate, ethic, energy and commitment. That he can't find form is therefore pretty damning.

Hes been woeful this season, Ive said it before but he looks like a guy playing with an injury, hes just a little bit short in everything he attempts. Hasnt put a foot right since the Spurs game. How Can is struggling to get a game in our midfield is baffling

Yep, agree with the point on Can. That said, I've tried to see how he'd fit at times and it's not obvious. He's not going to replace Lucas cause he doesn't seem anywhere near disciplined enough. He's not replacing Allen - looks a very different type player. I'd like to see him in place of Henderson but it seems that's unlikely - maybe Hendo is more a leader behind the scenes than I credit him with.

There's less space for him to run into and exploit with Sturridge and Suarez gone, and the whole team seems to have inexplicably dropped its pressing game, which is hurting his game. I'd agree that id give Can some more time at the moment whilst the team is playing like this, I cant fathom why Rodgers has abandoned our quick pressing game though, thats as bigger factor in our shocking form as losing the aforementioned two is.

Most of the team have been bollocks so he's not on his own. The thing with Henderson, even when he's playing well, he doesn't actually do that much in terms of he's kinda inbetween roles - he doesn't really create that much or score that much in an attacking sense, and he's and he's not a great out and out DM. He's sort of a jack of all trades master of none when he's playing well. He's a bit Kuyt'ish, full of running and graft, but not a lot of end product usually.
Now he's the backup captain he needs to get his arse in gear though, with Gerrard going sooner or later he's likely to be given the captaincy full time any time soon, and when he does, he's got to be a lot lot better than he is now.

I've been saying this for a while now.

When it comes to the final third you want your central midfielder to be able to provide in the final third and jordan for me is just not capable.

I think the argument brought forward by a member here not too long ago was that he does get assists and the odd goal etc but his overall play and killer pass/instinct is lacking.
