I think that's it for john and management. hopefully he will return to .tv with 'the john barnes show'
 
Poor John. His squad was abysmal. Did they really expect him to do much with that? I guess they did. 🙁

I think he'd have fared fairly well at somewhere like MK Dons. Tranmere needs players, not a new manager.

Ha ha ha, I told that story to my missus and she just looked at me and said '8 is way too much a footballer to be eating'. It was the ultimate picard/facepalm moment.

The Alan Shearer & Chris Sutton one is nearly better.

Sutton had a swollen ankle and Shearer told him to tape a paracetamol to his ankle and as he trained and ran the tablet would dissolve in and help the pain.

SUTTON FAIL.

Jesus, poor Digger sacked by Jamaica in June, and now Tranmere.
 
Where is the thread were someone queried whether Digger would be a decent shout as future manager of LFC, and Pesam (I think) said we could get him in because he'd be out of a job before Christmas?

Aye t'was me. I can't remember which numpty it was though suggesting him as a potential LFC manager and I doubt anyone's going to own up to it.

The John Barnes show was excellent. Basically him talking about going for a pint and laughing at Everton whilst hs guest would just bang on about what a player Barnes was. Please come back!

Well, he employed McAteer, so you'd hope our Jace can't be THAT stupid.  Listening to McAteer's interviews in recent years, I've been wondering whether that dumbo bit as a player was all just a p!sstake for him to hide behind.

As for Digger himself, either he's just not management material or he has an ability bordering on genius for picking the wrong job.  Which amounts to the same thing in a way.
