So we're 9th with 28 points off 20 games. 7 wins, 7 draws, 6 defeats. Here's a sad point - all our 7 wins have been against teams below us.

If we're to head towards a top 6 spot, we'd better start beating some teams above us. 2 such teams in January.

Predictions?

Depends on how bad the Rodgers virus has hit him ;-)

By the way, anyone knows if it is possible to get tickets for Emirates these days?

It's difficult to see us beating either United or Arsenal to be honest 🙁

I reckon the other two aren't going to be exactly easy either.

Sturridge better get his scoring boots along.

Well, to be fair their style suits us better than direct physical style. Their forms however are scary shit.

We could feasibly win them all, the same could be said for losing them all such is our shiteness. However, it will depends upon who he plays. I am quite liking the energy that Henderson is bringing to the team and would rather, at present, have him in the team ahead of Shelvey and probably Allen.

Most likely we will get 4 points from that lot.

Isn't our style of play suited to only playing weaker teams?

If we go toe to toe the way we do we'll get beaten by the better sides, we need to start shutting up shop against better teams

Not to mention City away after that. Very tough few games coming up. Sunderland are on the up, Norwich are flying since we (Suarez) thumped them.

We spent the best part of 15 years beating the teams above us and losing/drawing to teams below us. For me its a great sign that we now seem capable of beating the teams we should. I'm willing to give Rodgers the time he needs to figure out how to beat the top teams. I'll never forget Ged saying after late Fa cup defeat in 99 when he had yet to beat Utd "One day we will beat them!" It sometimes take time for a manager to figure out the big sides and how to beat them.

Also don't forget some of our unluckiest games/decisions were against the top sides.

City we were crushing until Skrtels lapse.
Utd we dominated even with 10 men and weren't given a peno while conceding a very soft one.
Everton we were robbed in the last minute.
Chelsea Enrique missed a sitter to win it.

I'm relatively happy with where we are at the moment.

I'm with LTW here. We'll beat the Scum.

We might even get a draw against Arsenal. It's Sunderland and Norwich that worry me.

I think we'll get 7 points.

Hard to see us beating the mancs at this point - just too many players there who can win a game on their own.

I reckon Arsenal are there for the taking; Walcott looks in amazing form but their defense doesn't convince me in the slightest. I think we'll do the other two as well, tbh.

The big thing for me is that we're 8 points off 4th. I can't quite get a read on Spurs - sometimes they look amazing and at others very vulnerable.

Is AVB going to improve them or will they struggle to play his style. They're in a CL position right now which is something they must be loving - but will he see them improved for the 2nd half of the season or will they start to struggle as other teams work out his approach?

Walcott might be somewhere else by the time we play them. Then of course he could still play against us for utd or city

Arsenal are scoring a lot of goals. We concede a lot of goals and struggle to score against better sides. Plus we always struggle away to Arsenal.

Of all the games I'm most concerned about that one.

I can't see us beating Sunderland. Mind you I don't know what I'm on about.
