Massively concerned about Jamie. Very scary seein oxygen masks and neck braces.

As soon as there is news about his condition can someone post into this thread.

He was sitting up & chatting in the treatment room apparently.

Thanks. Hope he wasn't watching the game. He'd have had a heart attack to contend with too!

Wonder if he was any easier to understand after a knock on the head. 😉

Just showed him out on the pitch whilst Wenger was moaning.

That could be at any time!

He was knocked SPARK OUT in that head collision. He'll probably have precautionary scan and be back for the next game.

So will they keep him out for the rest of the season now if it's a concussion?
Like he'd fucking let them.

You never know. American football players are often out of the game for months after concussions, as the severity of concussions is now finally starting to be acknowledged by doctors and scientists.

An ice hockey player (Sidney Crosby) has been out for 3 months now with one, and despite him skating daily and it now being the playoffs, it's still unclear when he will be back

Rugby players have a mandatory 3 week period off or something like that.

I'm guessing that concussions are quite common in rugby.
They do the same in the hockey.
Not sure about football though. How long was Terry out when he was kicked in the head?
It was probably treated differently, since Terry doesn't have a brain to worry about.

Comment of the day.

"I can't remember anything. As soon as I came round I was absolutely fine," the 33-year-old said.

"It was a little clash of heads and these things happen in football.

"The main thing was to get the three points.

"I watched their penalty in the dressing room and then saw that we got our own.

"I was just praying that we scored because to get four points out of six from the last two games is fantastic.

"I went out onto the pitch at the end because I wanted to celebrate with the lads."

Carragher added: "Some of the players we had out there, because of the injuries we had, still qualify for the youth team so it was a really good team performance."

I was bricking it, tbf, I thought his career was over, or worse.
Me too. Think how his family must have felt.

Yeah, good spot. I know some on here take a different view, but I've never had a real problem with Gooner fans myself.

Out of the "big" clubs , the Arsenal fans are by far the most reasonable, in fact thinking about it that goes for most of the PL

regards

The three Arsenal fans I know are a decent sort and I never mind going to watch footie with them, because you know you'll see some decent footie played.

Yeah I don't mind Arsenal fans. We have a mutual hate in United so it's easy to bond over that.
